17/01/2025 Belgrade (Serbia) – Panel discussion “Innovations through partnership: science and industry”

On January 17, 2025, The Palace of Science hosted a dynamic panel discussion on strengthening ties between academia and industry, co-organized by EU-funded projects RobotORRI and 6SAVA. Experts from research institutions and the private sector explored collaboration models, funding opportunities and best practices for bridging the gap between scientific research and industrial innovation: 

  • Prof. Mileta Žarković, University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering – Partner programs for companies at School of Electrical Engineering 
  • Prof. Kosta Jovanović, University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering – Collaboration models & benefits: ETF Robotics Lab case 
  • Dr. Miloš Kostić, Tecnalia Serbia – R&D incentives and support for industry 
  • Aleksandar Zobec, Hub9 / F6S – Funding frameworks for academia-industry cooperation 
  • Moderator: Ivica Miladinović, Elsys Eastern Europe 

The discussion underscored the importance of partnership-driven innovation, access to EU funding, and industry-driven research as key drivers of technological progress. 

17/12/2024 Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – Meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska

Representatives of the 6SAVA consortium from Tecnalia Serbia and Tecnalia, led by TeleGroup Banja Luka, met with the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, on December 17, 2024. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in the fields of innovation and economic development in Republika Srpska.

17/12/2024 Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – 2nd Innovators and Investors fair

6SAVA representatives from Tecnalia and Telegroup attended the 2nd Innovators and Investors Fair organized by the City Development Agency of Banja Luka (CIDEA). Our project manager, Miloš Kosić, delivered a keynote speech titled “Developing a Sustainable Economy Through Innovation”. He shared insights into the innovation implementation process, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector collaboration and leveraging specialized expertise at every step – from planning and securing funds to implementation and real-world validation.

Through the efforts of the 6SAVA project, a framework agreement for collaboration was signed between the project coordinator Tecnalia Serbia and CIDEA during this event. This agreement will serve as a foundation for further cooperation, with a focus on regional collaboration and strengthening the innovation ecosystem. We look forward to working together on achieving these goals!

We had the pleasure of attending the annual innovation achievements festival “Innovative Serbia 2024”, organized by the Business Incubator Kruševac. This was an excellent opportunity to gain deeper insights into the local innovation ecosystem and connect with representatives of other business incubators.

24/10/2024 Belgrade (Serbia) – AI4Life Biotech Future Forum 2024

We’re thrilled to announce TECNALIA’s participation in the AI 4 Life – Biotech Future Forum 2024, held on October 24-25 at the Crowne Plaza in Belgrade!

Our International Business Development Manager, Goran Bijelić, joined the panel on BIO4 – Collaboration between Industry and the Research Community, discussing how industry-research partnerships drive biotech innovation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution – a mission we’re deeply passionate about at TECNALIA Health Business Unit.

We are proud to support open innovation initiatives in Serbia and the SEE region and excited to contribute to BIO4’s journey as Europe’s new bioeconomic hub.

Organised in partnership with the World Economic Forum and UNDP and supported by the BIO4 Campus, the event spotlighted Serbia’s digital transformation efforts.

06/10/2024 Novi Sad (Serbia) – Biomedical Engineering Days 2024

Exciting discussions at the Biomedical Engineering Days 2024! Prof. Nikola Jorgovanović from Global Electronic Solutions introduced the 6SAVA project during his lecture on ‘Sensors and smart devices for monitoring physiological states in first responders.’ He also participated in a panel discussion on the role of biomedical engineers in the industry, joined by the 6SAVA project manager Miloš Kostić from Tecnalia Serbia. A big thanks to everyone who contributed to this insightful event!

27/09/2024 Budva (Montenegro) - TeleGroup flagship conference INFOSEC

Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting 6SAVA’s opportunities at the 14th Infosec conference, hosted by our project partner TeleGroup. Milos Kostić shared how 6SAVA can support the companies in securing funding for tech-based innovations during the workshop “Horizon projects: Support in securing funding for innovative projects”. This was an excellent platform to boost the visibility and reputation of EU-funded activities in our region. A big thank you to TeleGroup for the fantastic organization, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

10/09/24 Warsaw (Poland) – 2nd Firefighter safety in rescue operations conference

The 6SAVA team attended the 2nd edition of the ‘Firefighter Safety in Rescue Operations’ conference, hosted by Fire University in Warsaw on 10-11 September. It was a great opportunity to showcase our past achievements in an invited lecture “Co-development of technologies for first responders with first responders – experiences from the SIXTHSENSE project”, and present the ongoing activities of 6SAVA to important stakeholders from Poland. We’re excited to explore collaboration opportunities in Widening countries and continue driving innovation in safety technology.

04/09/2024 Belgrade (Serbia) – The Europe House opening

Our meeting place! In early September, the 6SAVA coordination team joined the opening of the Europe House in Belgrade. As a hub for collaboration and shared values, it offers new opportunities for innovation and growth, supporting Serbia’s journey toward the EU. We look forward to exploring future possibilities together!

24/06/2024 Belgrade (Serbia) – Horizon Europe Info day

6SAVA project manager, Miloš Kostić, took the stage at Horizon Europe Info Day to showcase our project and consortium, outlining the vast opportunities available for stakeholders.

Hosted by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, this workshop was an opportunity for Serbian scientific institutes supported by the SAIGE project to engage with Horizon Europe opportunities.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organizing this event! We’re thrilled to see how the 6SAVA project can contribute to raising awareness of EU funding and capacity building of the Serbian ecosystem.

06/06/2024 Brussels (Belgium) – Pathways to Synergies HE 2023 Call Coordinator’s Day

We’re thrilled to report on our participation at the Coordinator’s Day for Pathways to Synergies HE2023 call, hosted by the European Research Executive Agency in Brussels.

The 6SAVA team took part in engaging discussions and workshops, enhancing our collaboration with European peers and gaining crucial insights into project management and coordination.

Spreading the word about 6SAVA at the 11th International Conference IcETRAN in Niš, Serbia. In addition to the paper titled “Overview of the Methods and Applications of Electrodermal Activity Assessment and Its Relation with Electrotactile Feedback and Potential Use in Automated Calibration”, we showcased the exclusive benefits available to academic stakeholders who join our project. 24/05/2024 Kragujevac (Serbia) – 3rd Serbian International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence

Successful presentation of the SIXTHSENSE results and their valorization through the 6SAVA project at the 3rd Serbian International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence held on 24th May in Kragujevac, Serbia. Matija Štrbac from Tecnalia Serbia presented the paper “Enhanced biomarker detection band health monitoring using AI-driven multi-sensor integration”.
